Full Biography: Ola Salamon is a student of the master degree studies in the instrumental department with a specialization in flute performance at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. She is studying under the supervision of PHA Maria Peradzyńska.
Even at the very beginning of her education she received the highest scores on mid-year and final year exams, now for 14 years also winning diplomas for outstanding achievements.
She is a laureate of nearly forty national and international flute competitions in Poland, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, France, Germany, Russia, Sweden and the USA, incl.
2nd place at the “Pro Bohemia” competition in Ostrava
Silver medal at the international BFS competition in London
Twice winner of 1st place at the International Competition "Il flauto Ricercato" in Łódź
1st place at the International Flute Competition in Katowice
1st place at the Moscow International Music Competition
2nd place at the 2nd Eugeniusz Towarnicki International Flute Competition (she also received a diploma for the best performance of a contemporary piece)
1st place at the Citta di Massa International Competition
Grand Prize at the International Youth Music Competition
2nd place at the International Music Competition “OPUS” in Krakow

Numerous times she has also received special awards, for the best performance of a contemporary piece, outstanding musical sensitivity, and such as distinctions for the best participant of master classes.
In 2022, she premiered a piece composed by Lena Michajłow "Niestałość".
Ola is a scholarship holder of the National Children's Fund and twice of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. She also actively participated in the Youth Music Academy in the 2018/2019 academic year at the G. and K. Bacewicz in Łódź, with Prof. Dr. Hab. Antoni Wierzbiński.
She perfected her skills under the supervision of outstanding flautists such as: Denis Bouriakov, Paolo Taballione, András Adorján, Berten D'Hollander, Giovanni Gandolfo, Gareth McLearnon, Carlo Jans, Mario Caroli, Dejan Gavric, Aldo Baerten, Carsten Eckert, Carlos Bruneel, Philippe Bernold, Michael Schmidt-Casdorff, Gareth Davies, Robert Dick, Frank-Immo Zichner, Sven Birch and Tobias Koch.
Ola gained experience as a chamber musician under the supervision of many outstanding Polish teachers at master classes at the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music.
She also studied this subject under the supervision of dr. hab. Joanna Maklakiewicz and dr Mischa Kozłowski, playing in a duet with pianist Qing Xu, with whom she won numerous international competitions. She also participated in the recording of a doctoral album, which included flute sonatas by S. Prokofiev, F. Poulenc and J. Wenye.
Ola has been playing as a musician in wind, chamber and symphony orchestras for over 7 years, giving concerts on various stages in Poland and abroad.
She was accepted for the 2024 concert season in the European Union Youth Orchestra. Together with the EUYO, she performed in concert halls and various prestigious venues in Belgium, Italy, Scotland, USA, Switzerland, Germany and Austria. During two international tours, she worked with world-famous conductors: Ivan Fischer, Gianandrea Noseda and Alexandre Bloch.
Aside from music, Ola is also interested in learning foreign languages (currently, in addition to Polish and English, she is preparing for Japanese exams and is taking lessons in Chinese). In her spare time, Ola absolutely loves to bake and cook (she makes the best cheesecake in the world).
