Flutist Ona Jonaityte is recognized for her “exceptional talent, poise and drive, as well as technical achievement and the ability to communicate devotion to flute music through performance.”
Ona is an active chamber and orchestral musician, as well as pedagogue.
Currently, she is a principal flute with the Lexington Symphony Orchestra and a piccolo player with the Orchestra of Indian Hill and has performed with Boston Symphony, Detroit Symphony, New World Symphony, Boston Lyric Opera Orchestra.
She is a member of Vento Chiaro woodwind quintet.
Since 2009 Ms. Jonaityte has been teaching and performing at The Boston University Tanglewood Institute. She is a faculty at College of Holy Cross and President of the James Pappoutsakis Flute Competition.
